Recently, a project focused on the dismantling of scrap lithium-ion batteries and the recycling of anode and cathode pole pieces has disclosed its environmental impact assessment details. The project's technical process primarily includes: preliminary dismantling of spent power batteries (including pre-dismantling treatment, physical dismantling of battery packs/groups and modules); dismantling of individual battery cells (including procedures such as detection, shell removal, battery cell drying, and precise separation of the anode and cathode)
; and physical crushing and screening of the positive pole pieces to recover cathode powder (covering steps such as pole piece drying, horizontal rotation separation, ultra-fine grinding, and screening). This project, promoted by Qingyan (Jiangxi) New Materials Co., Ltd., plans to invest 60 million yuan in the Jiangxi Ruichang Matou Industrial City to construct 4 production lines for achieving the aforementioned processes. Relevant information has been publicized on the official website of the Ruichang Municipal People's Government.
